We are a community of educators, parents, and advocates seeking to create nurturing, adaptive spaces that empower students to discover their unique paths to learning and growth. And while we have big plans…for right now, all we have is a podcast.

Jen
Jen is a co-founder and President of Four Winds Learning Collective. She believes learning happens everywhere, not just in classrooms, and loves helping young people explore new ways of thinking, perspective taking, and navigating real-world social situations. Finding joy in the everyday is one of her deepest passions. Jen has taught learners from Pre-K through age 22, but feels most at home with middle and high school students. She hopes each conversation invites others to keep growing as educators, caregivers, and human beings.
Kyle
Kyle is a co-founder of Four Winds Learning Collective, where he serves on the Board of Directors as secretary and leads the organization’s communication efforts, from the website to blog posts and social media. A father, husband, writer, and teacher rooted in rural Vermont, he believes every learner deserves a personalized, passion-driven education. His work shifted direction the day a teenager in a trauma-triggered crisis trusted him enough to move through it together. He hopes listeners leave each episode feeling that we—as a society, as educators, and as adults—can do better for our kids.

Stuart
Stuart is a co-founder of Four Winds Learning Collective and serves as Vice-President on the Board of Directors. He has spent nearly thirty years championing learning that begins with passion and honors each student’s individuality. After discovering his own interests mostly outside the traditional classroom, he dedicated his career to creating more flexible, humane pathways for young people. He has taught everything from second grade to graduate courses, but finds his deepest inspiration working with middle and high school students. A lifelong learner, Stuart blends research in neuroscience, psychology, and cognitive science with hands-on practice, striving to help every young person grow into their fullest, most capable self.
